I recorded this video to show how to create a fully automated email sequence in Kajabi — the kind that welcomes subscribers, nurtures leads, and drives conversions while you sleep.
Email is still one of the highest ROI tools in digital business. And Kajabi makes it pretty simple to build smart, automated sequences — if you know where to start.
Step 1: Head to “Email Campaigns”
From your Kajabi dashboard, go to Marketing > Email Campaigns > + New Email Campaign. Choose “Email Sequence” — not the Broadcast option (which is for one-off emails).
Give your sequence a name like:
- Welcome Series
- Mini Course Delivery
- Course Launch Funnel
Step 2: Add your emails
You can add as many emails as you want. Kajabi lets you control:
- The delay between emails (e.g., “Send 2 days after previous”)
- Subject lines
- Email content with personalization variables (e.g., {{first_name}})
- Whether the email is active or paused
In the video, I show a 5-part welcome sequence that delivers:
- Welcome and what to expect
- Your free resource
- My story or journey
- How I can help them
- CTA to book a call or join a product
Step 3: Connect to an automation
Once your sequence is built, you need to trigger it. Common ways:
- When someone fills out an opt-in form
- When someone purchases a product
- Manually added to a sequence via automation or tagging
You can set this in Automations > When X happens → Add to Email Sequence Y.
Step 4: Test before going live
Always use the “Send Test” button to check formatting and links. Kajabi also tracks open rate, click-through, and delivery once your emails are active.
