I made this tutorial to show how to cancel your ChatGPT Plus subscription — in case you’re pausing usage or testing alternatives. Here’s the video:

ChatGPT Plus is great, but there might be times when you want to downgrade or stop billing temporarily. In this video, I walk through how to:

  1. Go to https://chat.openai.com
  2. Click your name or email in the bottom left corner
  3. Select My Plan
  4. Click Manage My Subscription
  5. On the Stripe portal, hit Cancel Plan

Once canceled, you’ll retain access until the end of the billing cycle. You can reactivate any time later without losing your chat history or custom settings.

I also explain the difference between pausing vs canceling, since there’s currently no pause button — just full cancel and restart when needed.
