I made this video to help you set a custom static homepage in WordPress, which is a key step in creating a more polished, brand-focused site.

By default, WordPress shows your latest blog posts on the homepage — but for most sites, especially businesses, a custom layout is much better.

In the tutorial, I explain:

  1. Creating a new “Home” page under Pages
  2. Going to Settings > Reading and switching to a static page
  3. Choosing “Home” for your front page and optionally “Blog” for posts
  4. Using the block editor or your theme builder to design the page
  5. Saving and checking your homepage in a private window

This is one of the first steps I take when building new WordPress sites for clients or niche projects.

Are you using the blog feed as your homepage, or have you already switched to a static layout?
