I made this video to help you set a custom static homepage in WordPress, which is a key step in creating a more polished, brand-focused site.
By default, WordPress shows your latest blog posts on the homepage — but for most sites, especially businesses, a custom layout is much better.
In the tutorial, I explain:
- Creating a new “Home” page under Pages
- Going to Settings > Reading and switching to a static page
- Choosing “Home” for your front page and optionally “Blog” for posts
- Using the block editor or your theme builder to design the page
- Saving and checking your homepage in a private window
This is one of the first steps I take when building new WordPress sites for clients or niche projects.
Are you using the blog feed as your homepage, or have you already switched to a static layout?
