I created this video to show how to schedule your YouTube video uploads, so they go live automatically at the exact time you want — without needing to be online.

If you batch create content or publish consistently (like I do), this feature is a game changer. YouTube’s built-in scheduling lets you stay ahead and post at ideal times, without worrying about manual uploads.

Here’s what I show in the video:

  1. Upload your video as usual
Head to YouTube Studio, click “Create” > “Upload Video,” and drop in your MP4 or MOV file.
  2. Enter your details
Fill in the title, description, tags, and thumbnail — just like a normal upload. Don’t skip your timestamps, affiliate links, and CTA if you’re using a template.
  3. Choose “Schedule” instead of “Publish”
On the visibility screen, select “Schedule,” then choose the date and time you want the video to go live.
  4. Set your timezone
This is often overlooked. Make sure your scheduled time aligns with your audience’s timezone — especially if you’re targeting US or global viewers.
  5. Double-check and confirm
Once scheduled, your video will be listed under the “Scheduled” tab in your Content dashboard. You can edit any detail before it goes live.

I also share how I personally schedule weeks (sometimes months) in advance. This helps me stay consistent without burning out, especially during launches or travel.

For creators running content calendars, publishing to multiple playlists, or working with editors, this feature is essential.

Are you currently uploading manually, or scheduling in advance as part of your workflow?
