I put together this video to walk you through how to schedule tweets directly on X (Twitter), using the built-in feature — no third-party tools required.

Scheduling tweets is a huge time-saver, especially if you run a content calendar or want to post during peak hours without being glued to your phone. And good news: you can now do it natively inside X.

Step 1: Go to the web version of X

This feature only works in a desktop browser — it’s not available on the mobile app. Head to twitter.com, log in, and click “Tweet” to open the composer.

Step 2: Craft your post

Write your tweet just as you normally would. Add hashtags, mentions, links, or media as needed. You can even add a poll or schedule a thread (though for threads, use a scheduler like Typefully or Hypefury for more control).

Step 3: Click the calendar icon

In the tweet box, you’ll see a small calendar icon at the bottom. Click that to open the scheduling menu.

From here, you can:

  • Choose the date and time
  • View all your scheduled posts
  • Edit or cancel a scheduled tweet later

Step 4: Schedule and confirm

Click Schedule, and that tweet is now set. You’ll find it later in “Unsent Tweets” > “Scheduled” if you need to make changes.

In the video, I also talk about scheduling strategy — for example:

  • Posting educational tips in the morning
  • Sharing links and promotional content midday
  • Asking questions or engaging tweets in the evening

This approach helps keep your account active, engaging, and intentional — even if you’re working on other projects behind the scenes.

Are you already scheduling your tweets, or still posting everything live?
