I recorded this video to show you how to go back to Old Reddit — the classic version of the site with the more compact design:

While the New Reddit interface is more modern and feature-rich, a lot of longtime users still prefer the old layout. It’s cleaner, faster, and works better with third-party tools.

In the video, I show you a few ways to switch:

Method 1: Use the old domain

Just replace www.reddit.com with old.reddit.com in any URL.

Example:
https://old.reddit.com/r/technology/

Method 2: Set a browser bookmark

You can bookmark old.reddit.com and visit Reddit that way every time.

Method 3: Reddit Enhancement Suite (RES)

If you’re on desktop, using RES lets you automatically redirect all Reddit links to Old Reddit — I show how to enable that in the video.

One thing to note: Old Reddit doesn’t support all newer features — like live chat or awards — but for reading and commenting, it’s still a favorite among power users.
