I made a quick video showing how to pin a comment on your own YouTube videos, so it always stays at the top. Watch it here:

Pinning a comment is great for creators — you can highlight an update, share a related link, or even shout out a viewer. It’s also handy for answering FAQs directly below the video.

In the video, I show how to scroll down to the comments section of your video (you must be logged into your own channel), find the comment you want to pin — either one you wrote or from a viewer — and click the three dots next to it.

From there, select “Pin”, confirm the prompt, and you’re done. That comment now sticks to the top of the section, even if newer comments come in.

You can also unpin or replace the pinned comment at any time — just click the three dots again and choose “Unpin” or pin a different comment instead.

I personally use this feature to link related videos, thank people for watching, or leave a correction if something needs updating. It keeps the most important message visible without editing the video.

Have you tried pinning a comment yet? What would you use it for?
