If you want to highlight an announcement, a promotion, or a favorite update, pinning a post to the top of your Facebook profile is the perfect way to do it. It ensures that anyone visiting your page sees that post first. In my latest tutorial, I show exactly how to pin and unpin posts quickly on desktop or mobile.

Pinning is one of the most effective yet overlooked features for improving visibility. Whether you’re a creator promoting your latest video, a business sharing a key update, or simply marking a personal milestone, the process is the same.

Here’s how to do it:

On Desktop:

  1. Go to your profile and find the post you want to feature.

  2. Click the three dots (•••) in the top-right corner.

  3. Select “Pin Post.”

  4. Refresh the page — the post will now appear at the very top of your profile.

On Mobile:

  1. Open the Facebook app.

  2. Find your post and tap the three dots beside it.

  3. Choose “Pin to Top of Profile.”

To remove it later, simply tap the same menu and select “Unpin Post.”

Why Pinning Helps:

  • It keeps your most important content visible for new visitors.

  • It drives traffic to specific links, events, or offers.

  • It reinforces your brand by showcasing your best work or message.

Pro Tip: Update your pinned post every few weeks. Keeping it fresh signals activity to both followers and Facebook’s algorithm.

I use pinned posts regularly to highlight new tutorials or announcements. It’s one of the simplest ways to guide people toward what matters most on your page.

A pinned post is like your digital first impression — use it strategically and it can dramatically boost engagement.
