The idea that kids are better off educated at home is absurd. And so is the move to lock down schools.

Kids need social interaction and the ability to gain direct feedback from teachers & peers.

Strong evidence that many school age children have already been damaged longterm educationally & socially by the lockdowns and other restrictions this year.

The funny thing about time is that you don’t get it back.

And that’s not even getting into the elephant in the room: children from disadvantaged backgrounds are disproportionately penalised by not being in school. Making that future rich/poor gap much greater.

In my opinion, those who are pro school lockdown will be judged harshly in hindsight and will be on the wrong side of history.

If you’re pro locking down schools you’ve been incentivised for personal gain (in some way) and you’re not considering the children themselves.

I’m all for the Digital Revolution, but let’s slow things down a little, eh?
