I made this video to help parents and caregivers quickly set up parental controls on their Netflix accounts. It’s a lifesaver if your kids share the platform. Watch here:

Netflix has robust parental controls — you just need to activate them. In this video, I show how to:

  1. Log in via browser and go to Account > Profiles
  2. Select the child’s profile
  3. Set a maturity rating (e.g., “Kids,” “Teens,” or “All”)
  4. Turn on Profile Lock with a PIN
  5. Optionally, restrict specific titles

You can also enable Kids Experience, which offers a simplified, age-appropriate interface.

I talk through practical use cases — like preventing mature content from auto-playing or keeping kids from switching profiles. I also mention how these settings don’t affect your own profile, so you can keep unrestricted access elsewhere.

If your kids are using shared devices or bouncing between profiles, these settings are a must.

Have you used Netflix parental controls before, or are you just now locking things down?
