I made this quick tutorial to show how to add page numbers in Canva — a really helpful feature if you’re creating multi-page PDFs, ebooks, or guides. Watch the video here:
Adding page numbers manually in Canva used to be time-consuming, but in this video, I show you a fast way to do it with consistency across all pages.
Here’s the step-by-step:
- Open your multi-page document in Canva
- Select the first page and click “Text” > Add a text box
- Type a placeholder number (like “1”)
- Position it where you want it on the page — typically bottom corner
- Copy that text box to each page and update the number manually
While Canva doesn’t (yet) have an auto-number feature, duplicating and adjusting each box takes just a minute if you plan it out. I also show how to use grid view for faster page-to-page navigation and alignment.
If you’re creating printable workbooks or digital PDFs, this small detail adds a lot of polish. I use this method all the time when publishing lead magnets or art class worksheets.
Do you usually include page numbers in your Canva projects?
