I created this video to show how to use ColorPick Eyedropper, a browser extension that lets you instantly find and copy any color from any website.
If you’ve ever seen a color on a landing page, product shot, or social media graphic and thought, “I want that exact shade,” this tool is for you. Whether you’re a designer, content creator, or just working on a personal site, ColorPick makes it effortless.
Step 1: Install ColorPick Eyedropper
Head to the Chrome Web Store (or Edge Add-ons site) and search for ColorPick Eyedropper. Click Add to Chrome, then Add Extension.
Once installed, you’ll see the little eyedropper icon in your toolbar.
Step 2: Visit the page you want to sample
Go to any website — could be your competitor’s sales page, a Canva design, or even your own site.
Click the ColorPick icon, and your cursor turns into a zoomed-in grid — letting you hover over any part of the page.
It instantly shows the HEX value of the pixel you’re hovering over.
In the video, I show how I grabbed brand colors from Netflix, Adobe, and a few modern portfolio sites — down to the pixel.
Step 3: Copy and paste the color code
Once you click a color, it locks it in. You can:
-
Copy the HEX value
-
Note the RGB value
-
Paste it directly into Canva, Figma, WordPress, or CSS
You can even collect multiple color swatches in one session.
Bonus: I recommend keeping a Color Notes Google Doc where you store brand colors for different clients or projects.
Are you still guessing at colors by eye — or using this tool to match and reuse colors precisely?
