Once your item sells or you decide not to list it anymore, you’ll want to remove it from Facebook Marketplace so it stops appearing in search results. Here’s the quick step-by-step process:

On Desktop:

  1. Open Facebook and click the Marketplace icon on the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Click “Selling.”

  3. Find the item you want to remove.

  4. Click the three dots (•••) next to it.

  5. Choose “Delete Listing” or “Mark as Sold.”

  6. Confirm your choice.

If you mark it as sold, your listing stays visible with a “Sold” label, while deleting removes it entirely.

On Mobile:

  1. Open the Facebook app and tap the Marketplace tab.

  2. Tap the person icon to access your selling dashboard.

  3. Choose the item you want to remove.

  4. Tap Manage → Delete Listing or Mark as Sold.

That’s it — your listing will instantly disappear from search results.

A few tips:
