Your Facebook User ID and username are unique identifiers that connect directly to your profile. You might need them to integrate apps, connect to business tools, or recover access to accounts. In this tutorial, I show the quickest way to find both on desktop and mobile — no tech skills required.

Here’s how to locate them in just a few steps:

On Desktop:

  1. Log into your Facebook account.

  2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.

  3. Select “See your profile.”

  4. Look at the address bar — your username appears at the end of the URL.
    Example: facebook.com/username
The section after “facebook.com/” is your username.

  5. For your numeric User ID, right-click your profile page and select View Page Source.

  6. Press Ctrl/Cmd + F, search for “userID”, and you’ll see a long number — that’s your unique Facebook ID.

On Mobile:

  1. Open the Facebook app.

  2. Go to your profile.

  3. Tap the three dots under your name.

  4. Scroll to Profile Link.
The link will look like facebook.com/profile.php?id=123456789.
That number is your User ID.

For Pages or Business Accounts:

  • Go to your Page’s About section in Meta Business Suite.

  • You’ll find both the Page ID and username listed there.

Why it matters:

  • Developers use these IDs to connect apps or analytics tools.

  • Customer service teams may ask for it when resolving issues.

  • It can also help you verify the authenticity of a page or ad account.

If you manage multiple Facebook assets, it’s smart to record these IDs in a spreadsheet. It makes future troubleshooting and integrations much easier.

Finding your User ID might seem technical, but it’s actually a simple process once you know where to look. In just a minute or two, you can locate and save both your ID and username — no guesswork required.
