Reddit is a great platform for deep dives and community discussions, but over time, your history can pile up — especially if you’ve made hundreds of comments or browsed things you’d rather not have recorded. In this video, I walk through the different types of Reddit history and how to clear them.

There are a few ways to approach it:

  1. Delete individual posts or comments manually – Head to your profile, go to “Posts” or “Comments,” click the three dots next to each entry, and choose Delete.
  2. Clear Reddit browsing history on mobile – In the Reddit app, go to your profile, tap the three dots, and choose Clear local history. This clears recently visited threads and subreddits from your suggestions and search bar.
  3. Use third-party tools or extensions – I mention a few in the video that can bulk-delete Reddit activity. These tools save a ton of time if you’re trying to wipe years of content.

I’ve used this process when doing a digital cleanup or when I wanted to reset my account’s activity after changing interests. Deleting your Reddit history gives you a fresh start, and for some users, that means fewer algorithmic recommendations based on outdated activity.
