I made this tutorial to help you make your Instagram account private, so only approved followers can see your content moving forward.

Whether you’re managing a personal account, switching away from public-facing content, or just want more control, going private is an easy step.
In the video, I show how to:
- Open the Instagram app
- Tap your profile > Menu (three lines) > Settings & Privacy
- Go to Account Privacy
- Toggle Private Account to ON
Once private, only people you approve can follow you and view your posts, stories, and follower list. Existing followers stay the same unless removed manually.
This is a setting I often recommend to clients with personal accounts or those in early content-building stages who want more control.
Have you ever flipped your profile to private for a reset or content audit?
