I made this tutorial to walk you through how to use Facebook’s Sharing Debugger tool — an essential trick if you’re posting links that aren’t previewing correctly. Here’s the video:

Ever shared a blog post or YouTube link on Facebook and the thumbnail doesn’t show, or the title is outdated? That’s because Facebook caches old info. The Sharing Debugger lets you refresh it manually.

In the video, I take you to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/. Just paste your URL into the field and hit Debug. Facebook will show you what metadata it sees — title, description, image, etc.

If the info is outdated, click Scrape Again, and Facebook will pull fresh metadata from your site. This is super useful when you update a thumbnail, headline, or preview image and want the post to reflect those changes.

I also show how to fix errors like missing Open Graph tags or improper image sizes. If you’re running a blog, course, or product page, this tool can help you make sure your content looks good when shared.

It’s saved me plenty of headaches after publishing time-sensitive content that needed to look right now.

Have you ever had to fix a link preview on Facebook?
