I put together this quick tutorial to show how to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on LinkedIn, which is one of the easiest ways to protect your account from unauthorized access.

With more of our professional lives tied to LinkedIn — networking, hiring, outreach, and content — securing your account is more important than ever.

In the video, I walk you through:

  1. Logging into LinkedIn
  2. Clicking Me > Settings & Privacy
  3. Navigating to Sign In & Security > Two-step verification
  4. Enabling it using either SMS or an authenticator app
  5. Verifying your identity and saving recovery methods

Once set up, you’ll be required to enter a code every time you log in from a new device — making it much harder for someone else to gain access.

I use 2FA on all my key business accounts, and I recommend it to everyone managing a personal brand or doing client work on LinkedIn.

Have you turned on 2FA across your other platforms yet?
