I put together this tutorial to help anyone frustrated with Netflix’s “Are you still watching?” prompt. If you want continuous playback, here’s how to set it up:

Netflix pauses playback after a few episodes to check if you’re still watching — which can be annoying during long viewing sessions or when kids are watching shows back-to-back.

In the video, I show two approaches:

  1. Browser Extensions – I recommend one that auto-confirms the “still watching” prompt on Chrome. It runs in the background and keeps Netflix going.
  2. Using Smart TV or Apple TV tricks – where this prompt is either less aggressive or easier to reset.

I also talk about profile settings that allow better control over playback behavior. While Netflix doesn’t offer a built-in toggle to disable the prompt completely, these workarounds have been reliable in my own testing.

Perfect for parents, binge-watchers, or anyone who uses Netflix as background media while working.

Have you ever had Netflix interrupt your watch party at the worst possible moment?
