I made this full tutorial to show exactly how to design a custom YouTube channel banner using Canva — including how to make sure it fits across all devices. Watch here:

Your channel banner is the first thing new visitors see — so making a great impression is key. In this video, I show you how to:

  1. Open Canva and search for “YouTube Channel Art”
  2. Choose a 1920×1080 template or start from scratch
  3. Use the YouTube safe zone guide (the center 1546x423px area)
  4. Add your channel name, tagline, social handles, or upload schedule
  5. Export in high resolution and upload to YouTube via Customization > Branding

I also include some tips on color palettes, font pairings, and image placement — so your design looks good on TV, tablet, desktop, and mobile.

I’ve used this exact process for my own channel and client work, and it’s made a huge difference in how professional things look.
