I made this video for anyone who wants to clear out the “Continue Watching” section on Netflix — whether it’s an embarrassing title or a show you started and instantly regretted:

Netflix automatically logs every show or movie you start, and they hang around in your Continue Watching queue forever unless you take them out manually.

In the video, I show how to do this on both mobile and desktop:

  1. On desktop, go to Account > Profile > Viewing activity
  2. Click the “Hide from viewing history” icon (a crossed-out circle) next to any title
  3. On mobile, open the three-dot menu on the title in your Continue Watching row, then select “Remove from row”

The change takes a few seconds to process but it works — and it makes your Netflix profile feel more tailored and less cluttered.

This is also a great trick for parents who want to clean up profiles their kids have been using.

Do you clear out your Netflix history often, or just let it pile up?
