I have used ChatGPT to write a 100 page screenplay about a 10 year old boy growing up in the aftermath of the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.
The film is a family drama, something akin to Billy Elliot but with a bit more British social realism. I actually asked the AI to think like Ken Loach or Mike Leigh.
The central plot of the film, a coming of age story, is about how the boy copes with the loss of his father in the disaster. His dad was a Liverpool fan who attended the match.
The boy’s mother is dealing with the tragedy in her own way and doesn’t allow football in the house – football shirts banned, can’t watch footy, can’t talk about it – due to the loss she feels for her husband. The boy has to deal with the loss and his passion for football in private.
