I made this video to walk you through how to create an email campaign in Kajabi, from writing the content to segmenting your list and sending the broadcast.

Whether you’re announcing a launch, delivering weekly value, or simply re-engaging your list, Kajabi’s email tools are surprisingly powerful — especially if you set them up right from the start.

Here’s my full process.

Step 1: Go to “Marketing > Email Campaigns”

Click + New Email Campaign, and this time choose Email Broadcast (not Sequence).

Broadcasts are one-time emails — perfect for updates, offers, or announcements.

Step 2: Choose your audience

You can send your campaign to:

  • All contacts
  • A specific list
  • People with specific tags or segments

This is where smart tagging pays off. For example, I’ll often send:

  • A product announcement only to people who downloaded a related lead magnet
  • A testimonial roundup to trial users
  • A final call email only to people who clicked the sales page but didn’t buy

Step 3: Write your email content

Kajabi’s editor lets you build your email using:

  • Text
  • Buttons
  • Images
  • Video thumbnails
  • Personalization (like {{first_name}})

In the video, I show how I build a simple value email with a link to a new video, an embedded preview image, and a soft CTA at the end.

Step 4: Set delivery options

You can send your email:

  • Immediately
  • Scheduled for a later time
  • Based on recipient time zones (great for global audiences)

I usually schedule broadcasts around 9–10 AM in the subscriber’s time zone — it’s a sweet spot between inbox volume and reading habits.

Step 5: Review and send

Preview your email on desktop and mobile, send a test email to yourself, and double-check that links work.

Then click Send Broadcast, and Kajabi will handle the delivery, reporting, and tracking.
