I filmed this video to show how I organize my Chrome bookmarks for speed and productivity, especially when juggling multiple projects, platforms, and browser tabs.

Let’s face it — most of us have bookmark bars that are either empty or overflowing with random, unlabeled links. I used to be the same. Now, I’ve developed a system that helps me access everything I need with two clicks max — and zero clutter.

Here’s how I structure it.

Step 1: Create core folders in the bookmarks bar

I start with five primary folders, named clearly:

  • ⚙️ Tools
  • 📄 Docs
  • 🎥 YouTube
  • 🧰 Projects
  • 📬 Marketing

Each one is organized by function, not topic. For example, under Tools, I save things like Notion, Stripe, Canva, Figma, etc.

Step 2: Use nested folders inside each category

Inside Projects, I’ll create subfolders for:

  • Filmmaking Lifestyle
  • PhotographyForStudents
  • Buffer automations
  • Kajabi checkout links

Each subfolder only contains the active tools, dashboards, and spreadsheets I’m currently using for that project.

Step 3: Rename with short labels and emojis

Instead of saving a page titled “Google Analytics – Dashboard 4 | GA4”, I rename it GA4 Main 🔍. Short names + emojis = faster scanning.

This also works well for folders:

  • 📊 Analytics
  • 💰 Affiliate Tools
  • 🧪 Testing

In the video, I show how to rename and reorder everything so your bar only shows what matters.

Step 4: Backup and sync

I recommend syncing your bookmarks with your Google account so they’re available across all devices. You can also export your bookmarks as a backup or to transfer to another browser.

Bonus tip: I keep a Bookmark Dump folder where I drop interesting pages I want to sort later. This prevents me from cluttering the main folders when I’m in a rush.

Are you using bookmarks strategically, or still relying on memory and endless tabs?
