I put together this video to demonstrate how to create a new page in Notion, whether you’re planning a content calendar, creating a personal dashboard, or organizing your business backend.

Notion’s pages are like digital building blocks — you can nest them, style them, or turn them into databases. But it all starts with creating a clean, functional page.

Step 1: Open or create a workspace

If you’re starting from scratch, go to notion.so, log in, and either open an existing workspace or create a new one. Then click the “+ New Page” button on the sidebar.

You can also create a page within another page, which is perfect for hierarchical systems (e.g. a blog post outline inside a content calendar).

Step 2: Name your page and add an icon

Give your page a name that reflects its purpose, like:

  • “Client Projects”
  • “Weekly Goals”
  • “Video Script Template”

You can also add an icon or cover image to make it visually stand out in your sidebar.

Step 3: Choose a template or blank page

Notion offers built-in templates for things like:

  • To-do lists
  • Calendars
  • Roadmaps
  • Databases

Or you can start with a blank page and build as you go. In the video, I show how I start with a blank canvas and quickly build a task list and embed a calendar.

Step 4: Add content blocks

Click anywhere and type “/” to bring up Notion’s block menu — you can add:

  • Headings and text
  • Checklists
  • Toggle lists
  • Images
  • Embedded links or videos
  • Databases and tables

I also show how to move and organize blocks using drag-and-drop, so your page stays clean and easy to navigate.

Step 5: Share or collaborate

You can share the page privately or publicly, invite team members, or embed it in other apps. I use this a lot when collaborating on content briefs or planning launches.

Are you using Notion more for personal planning, team collaboration, or content management?
